Indexes are created to capture the returns of a segment of the stock market. At the beginning of a secular bull market an index makes sense because you don’t have to be smart, you just have to be in. So, what happens when the broad market is at the highest valuations in history, and a plurality of your index is in a concentrated number of stocks that have questionable valuations? Hold forever? Sell? In this workshop you will learn how to construct your own index of high-quality, dividend-paying blue chip stocks, and how to identify good value using cash flow and dividend yields.
