What the “Fear Gauge” is Telling Us About the Stock Market
Wednesday, February 19, 2025, 8:30 am - 8:50 am
Focus: TRADING

The VIX is not a fear gauge, though it often plays one on TV. At any given moment, the CBOE Volatility Index sends us myriad signals about traders’ expectations for risk and volatility that are much more nuanced than a simple dichotomy between fear and greed. In this insightful keynote (that ties in current market conditions at the time of the conference), Steven will discuss ways to interpret those signals. He will also include an examination of the roles played by correlation and dispersion in the index level.

0DTE Options: Simultaneously the Cheapest AND Most Expensive
Wednesday, February 19, 2025, 2:45 pm - 3:30 pm
Focus: OPTIONS

These products have become extremely popular with active traders, many of whom understand their risks, rewards, and nuances. Unfortunately, many do not.  As the industry continues to embrace these products and ponders whether to expand their roster to include individual stocks, Steve will help you understand the potential profits and pitfalls.
